ALLAN PEPPER, CO-OWNER OF THE LEGENDARY 'BOTTOM LINE', PAYS TRIBUTE
Friday, June 22
"I was thinking about Pete this morning, because he hosted The Bottom Line River to River show a year ago today. He not only did a great job. He jumped in at the last minute to help me out when Meg became ill and could not do the show. When I called him to ask him if he could help me as I wanted someone with a history with The Bottom Line, he didn't let me finish. He just cut me off and said, "I would be honored!"
I miss Pete when Saturday night rolls around, and Eileen and I are at home having dinner, because Pete would always be the third guest at our table.
My relationship with Pete predated The Bottom Line. He was the first one at NEW that I had any sort of a professional relationship with.
He was very supportive of a young band "Revival" that Stanley had just started to manage, and forty years later, I was there for him when he called me to ask for my suggestion for a producer for a new band that he was interested in and trying to help.
I guess, Harry was right "All our lives are a circle."
