'Aztec Two-Step performs the Simon & Garfunkel Songbook'
(with special guest Tony Traguardo)
Renowned for bringing the folk/rock music of the 1960s into the '70s and beyond, Aztec Two-Step continues to be one of acoustic music's most respected and enduring acts. While the duo possess a rich musical legacy of their own, it only makes sense that they would choose to interpret and perform the timeless songs and harmonies of Simon & Garfunkel.
For these engagements, Tony Traguardo will join Aztec Two-Step in the role of 'Narrator' to the Simon & Garfunkel story, working from a script originally co-created by Pete Fornatale, Rex Fowler and Neal Shulman, based on Pete's book 'Simon & Garfunkel's 'Bookends'.
UPCOMING EVENTS:
Friday 10-5-12 8:00pm: Peekskill, NY - Paramount Center for the Arts (For Further Information, Tickets/Directions)

Pete Fornatale's 'Back to the Garden: the Story of Woodstock' with Tony Traguardo
(Formerly: Back to the Garden: The Story of Woodstock Multimedia Program)
"BACK TO THE GARDEN: The Story of Woodstock" separates myth from reality and fiction from fact. Pete's 2009 book brings the iconic rock concert to vivid life through original interviews (recorded throughout Pete's 40+ year career!) with Roger Daltrey, Joan Baez, David Crosby, Richie Havens, Joe Cocker, and dozens of headliners, organizers, and fans. The goal of the book is to celebrate the music and spirit of Woodstock through the words of some of the biggest musical stars of the period, as well as through a diverse collection of photos.
The multi-media program that was co-designed, edited and 'realized' by Tony Traguardo, features archival audio and video clips that revive the entire era surrounding Woodstock for audiences of all ages. Stories of Pete's journey toward becoming a DJ at the top progressive radio station of the time (his on-air debut occurred shortly before Woodstock), of his experiences at the station, and of how he came to write "Back to the Garden", will continue bring Pete Fornatale's unique perspective to the multimedia show.
UPCOMING EVENTS:
Wenesday 10-3-12 7:30pm: Plainview, NY - Old Bethpage Public Library (FREE EVENT) (Directions)

Pete Fornatale's 'Simon & Garfunkel's Bookends', presented by Tony Traguardo
(Formerly: Simon & Garfunkel's Bookends Multimedia Program (2009-2010) / Simon & Garfunkel: "How Terribly Strange to Be 70" Multimedia Program (2011))
When Pete ran into Art Garfunkel at an event following its publication, Artie embraced him and thanked him for writing the book "Simon and Garfunkel's Bookends". Art told him, "Pete, I knew you were paying close attention all of those years, but I didn't realize you were taking notes!”
Pete Fornatale brought an exciting new dimension of scholarship, storytelling and fun to the unique story of two "Old Friends" ... Simon and Garfunkel. In the song "Old Friends", the duo sing "How terribly strange to be 70". In the Fall of 2011 the pair reached that benchmark, and it would be safe to say that neither one imagined how relevant and important their music would be over forty years after their (first!) "break-up". This unique mutti-media program, which was co-produced by Tony Traguardo and Pete Fornatale, tells the story of the two kids from Queens who started their professional career together as Tom and Jerry. The presentation, based on "Simon and Garfunkel's Bookends" takes audiences from the beginning to the present day, as the two continue to delight audiences with their voices and songs over 50 years after their recorded debut.
